WELCOME to the
official web site for In-Woods Expo 2011, scheduled for
May 19-21, 2011
on a managed forest in Arkansas's Hot Springs - Little Rock corridor.
In-Woods Expo 2007 drew 4,887 loggers, foresters, landowners, teachers, kids, and others curious about the future of forestry and logging to the woods to view today's and tomorrow's harvesting and forest management systems in action. Click here to see the slideshow, or Click here for a video preview! That turn-out, over 50% larger than the attendance for the first In-Woods Expo in 2004, reflected new interest in directions in logging and forest management. Arkansas Timber Producers Association Executive Director Larry Boccarossa commented, “The excitement about emerging bioenergy markets was a big driver this time. There was a lot of interest in biomass harvesting and processing.” Forest Resources Association President Richard Lewis pointed out that the next In-Woods Expo would also look carefully at emerging trends and develop themes appropriately: “Right now we’re considering ways In-Woods Expo 2011 will also address the needs of hunt clubs and forest landowners.” Would you like to exhibit at, or attend, In-Woods Expo 2011? “We were please with the customer traffic through our booth and in attendance at our demonstrations,” commented one exhibitor. Another noted, “We moved some equipment and got good product recognition.” According to a post-Expo survey of exhibitors, 97% considered it “successful” or “very successful,” and 94% indicated they would be “likely” or “very likely” to participate in the future. Although most visitors were from the South, the two-day event drew attendance from all over the United States, including the Pacific Coast, the Lake States, and New England. In addition, attendance came from Finland, Sweden, and Canada. We thank Hatton-Brown Publishers, In-Woods Expo’s official publicity partner. |
